Granary

Penygraig Granary is a newly renovated property adjoining Penygraig Cottage in a secluded, but not isolated, location 7 miles from Carmarthen in Wales' beautiful Cothi Valley. The property comprises

a master bedroom with super kingsize double bed
second bedroom also with double bed
third bedroom with twin beds
newly fitted bathroom with shower over bath
newly fitted kitchen diner
lounge with woodburning stove, Sky+, DVD player and WiFi,
downstairs utility room with toilet and multijet power shower.

Two more adults can sleep on a sofa bed in the lounge, giving a total of eight people in all. If you've more than eight in your group, you can hire both the Granary and the Cottage together for a discounted rate, sleeping up to 14. The Granary's four star rating from Visit Wales reflects a standard of accommodation that is "excellent throughout".

Upstairs

All the beds in Penygraig Granary are made up with luxurious egyptian cotton bedding. The master bedroom, second bedroom and third bedroom each has its own hanging space and chest of drawers, and the master bedroom is big enough that it has chairs as well. Please note that access to the master bedroom and bathroom is via the second bedroom. The new free-standing double bath has a shower over.

Downstairs

The Granary's simply and elegantly furnished 30' by 15' lounge has sofas enough for your whole party. The woodburner is easy to use and warms the very large space in no time. French windows lead from the lounge to the furnished patio. The chiminea might be powerful enough to keep you warm through a barbecue in December, but if it's too cold you can entertain yourself indoors with the Sky+, DVD player and WiFi.

The kitchen equipment is all brand new, from the beech units to the tableware. With an american style fridge freezer, washing machine and tumble drier, you should have everything you need. The dining table seats eight, but if you rent both Cottage and Granary together, we can make up a 14 seat dining table for you. There's plenty of room.

Outside

Although the Granary and Cottage are on the same site, the Granary has exclusive use of a large patio, with garden seating, gas barbecue and chiminea. The Granary also benefits from access to the half acre of lawns that surround the building. The property together has parking for 7 to 8 cars, and for MTB enthusiasts there's safe bike storage and bike washing facilities.

Everything Else

We welcome pets but ask you to pay a £20 surcharge per pet, and we're flexible about bookings. Maybe there are more than eight of you and some don't mind sleeping on the floor.
